Indigenous Sports Council – Youth Volleyball Development Program

Join ISCA and the Northern Lights Athletic Club (NLAC) for a 4-week volleyball skill development program!
As a Métis-led nonprofit, NLAC is dedicated to providing high-quality volleyball training for youth in Edmonton. Their objective is to offer affordable volleyball programs that focus on comprehensive youth development.

At NLAC, volleyball is just the beginning. Their programs emphasize building self-confidence, leadership, and resilience, helping athletes embrace challenges and grow. Join us to experience a supportive environment where athletes learn mindfulness, self-compassion, and the skills to overcome obstacles.

Dates: November 1, November 15, November 22, November 29, 2024
Times:
Grade 3/4: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
GRADE 5/6: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Cost: $20 (only $5 per session!)

Location: H.E. Beriault Gymnasium – 8125 167 Street NW, Edmonton (west side)
No previous volleyball experience required
Each program only has 12 participants which allows for increased 1on1 skill development and training with the NLAC coaches.
Grade 3/4 Program Description
This program is tailored for athletes with no prior experience in volleyball. It focuses on teaching fundamental volleyball skills and emphasizes that making mistakes is a natural part of the learning process.
Grade 5/6  Program Description
Tailored for athletes preparing for Junior High, this program introduces the fundamentals of volleyball. No prior experience is necessary. Athletes will learn essential volleyball skills and discover that they are capable of overcoming challenges.
