The Brick Invitational Hockey Tournament 2024

July 1-7th – West Edmonton Mall

WELCOME TO THE 2024 EDITION OF THE BRICK INVITATIONAL
Since January of 1990 when Bill Comrie met with executives at the Brick Warehouse Corporation,
we have taken to West Edmonton Mall to showcase the best hockey talent aged 9 to 10 in North
America. The concept of a summer tournament for this age group was truly unique, and our goal
was to create an event that would set the standard for hockey tournaments around the world.
We always strive to uphold Bill’s vision of providing young athletes the best possible opportunity
to display their skills amongst the top athletes in the world. We are overjoyed that these athletes
are also able to share a summer holiday with their loved ones and that they can meet new friends
from cities across North America. Several Hockey Committee members have seen our children
grow into adults over the years that this tournament has taken place, and we look forward to more
families joining this incredible event to make lasting memories year after year.
As volunteers, we thank our families for the support they have given us while we organize The
Brick Invitational each year. Since 1990, our team has witnessed some of the best hockey players
embark upon their future professional careers. We have seen hundreds of players go on to play
in the Canadian Hockey League, for Canadian and American Colleges and Universities and also
become outstanding citizens in their communities.
On behalf of our entire committee, including Andy Wigston, Trevor McGrandle, Russell Loga,
Lauren Styles, Sonny Sekhon, Ken Thrasher, Zach Turner and Dion Dragich, we thank everyone for
their support as volunteers, sponsors, players and coaches.
We have an outstanding group of volunteers ready to treat you to an experience of a lifetime. Enjoy
everything this tournament has to offer and support these amazing athletes as they meet one of
their biggest hockey challenges to date, The Brick Cup.
