E-Ville Roller Derby is a community-driven, grassroots sports organization based in Edmonton, Alberta. Since our founding in 2006 by a dedicated group of women, we have remained committed to promoting an active lifestyle, encouraging alternative sporting options, and providing a safe and supportive environment for contact sport.

We welcome both junior and adult members, offering programming that supports athletes of various ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. Our league proudly includes trans and gender-expansive athletes — regardless of pronouns or gender expression — who feel most comfortable participating under the WFTDA (Women’s Flat Track Derby Association) ruleset. Inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment are central to our mission.

One of our ongoing challenges is securing consistent and affordable venues for practices and games. Roller derby requires a large, flat playing surface that meets specific size requirements, making it difficult to find suitable space within city limits. This limitation can hinder accessibility and growth, particularly for new and younger members.

Through training, mentorship, competition, and community outreach, E-Ville Roller Derby provides a dynamic, team-oriented environment where participants can build confidence, foster strong connections, and engage in a truly empowering sport.
