Edmonton Tennis Community is the operating name for the merged non-profit organizations Edmonton Junior Tennis Society and Tennis Edmonton Association, whose mandates both focused on recreational tennis programming for children and adults respectively. The two organizations have merged as of January 2024 to bring a more effective overall focus on growing the sport of tennis in the Edmonton region through a focus on designing and delivering accessible and affordable programming for recreational tennis players, from beginners to more advanced at multiple locations in the region, from school gyms and city rec centres to public and community league courts and partnering with tennis clubs to provide a wider range of programs, particularly coach-led instructional programs but also tournaments and leagues, and major events such as our annual TENNISfest.
