Gabriela Mistral Latin American School

At Gabriela Mistral Latin American School, we combine Spanish language instruction with immersive cultural experiences to provide children (Kindergarten through Grade 9 and Adult students) with a holistic, engaging, and personalized learning environment. Our small class sizes foster individualized attention, while our Talleres (workshops) connect students to the rich traditions of Latin America through dance and music.

The Taller de Danzas introduces students to traditional Latin American dances, fostering creativity, teamwork, and cultural connection. Led by an experienced choreographer, classes are offered to Grades 2–9 on Saturdays and for Kindergarten and Grade 1 in 30-minute sessions.

The Taller de Música allows students to explore Latin American rhythms and instruments, with hands-on instruction led by experienced musicians. Music classes are available to Grades 2–9 on Saturdays, while Kindergarten and Grade 1 students enjoy weekly 20-minute exploratory sessions in their classrooms.

These workshops are integral to our mission of promoting language learning, cultural understanding, and student engagement. We are seeking funding to expand access to these transformative opportunities, helping more students connect with language, history, and culture.
