The program assists financially disadvantaged families in getting their individual children aged 4-18 involved in sports and recreation programs. Assistance will help with the registration and equipment costs.
Activities must be physically active programs and does not include summer or day camps (i.e., prefer sports with seasons, lessons, etc., over longer periods of time). Due to program guidelines, we are unable to provide funding to entire organizations or groups
A maximum of $300 per child per activity is recommended to allow available funds to assist as many children as possible.
The application process is handled through a central toll free call centre (1-877-616-6600). The family name, address and phone number and other relevant information pertaining to the recreational activity your child would like to participate in will be required and recorded at the time of your call. This information will be passed along to the local Canadian Tire Jumpstart Chapter for review.
Must apply before the registration fees are due.
