Edmonton Ski Club

A not-for-profit organziation created back in 1911, Edmonton Ski Club has supported both winter and summer activties throughout its time. Located in the heart of Edmonton’s scenic river valley, we take pride in offering to our guests low cost, winter recreation sporting option in a safe, all-inclusive environment where everyone is given an opportunity to have a valued experience as they either begin their downhill skiing or snowboarding learning experience. We also provide recreational experiences for those folks already famiiar with the sport but want to brush up on their skills. Since our inception, we have also branched out to providing tubing experiences in the winter months. We now offer programming 12 months of the year with the introduction of Biking programs and Summer Sports Recreation programming in the months of May through to August (inclusive). A variety of “learn to” programs are offered as well as specialty clinics for the more serious bikers. Specifically, in the months of July and August, we turn our attention to our Happy Hikers and Sports Recreation camps. These camps are multi-day visits, specifically designed for kids from ages 4-12 (inclusive) and introduces them to all kinds of new and varied experiences both on bikes and through guided nature hikes and excursions throughout our river valley area. Edmonton Ski Club is proud of partnerships with like minded organizations that support and encourage participation in both winter and summer sporting activities, ESC Alpine Ski Racing Society and Edmonton Freestyle Club are only two of the numerous groups we partner with annually. Edmonton Ski Cub is also proud to share our site with the Edmonton Folk Music Festival group. Annually, for four days in early August they host and produces Edmonton’s premiere outdoor music festival.
