enabling YOUR cHILDREN TO PLAY WHERE YOU LIVE
A new program set to provide free introductory athletics-based programming for children at 26 extended-hours (full-day) Green Shacks locations around the city from June 29 to August 21. Delivered through the City of Edmonton’s beloved Green Shack program, the initiative will introduce kids ages 12 and under to the fundamental skills of running, jumping, and throwing through fun, inclusive, and age-appropriate activities.
This drop-in program is part of Sport Edmonton and EFCL’s Play Where You Live strategy, which is focused on removing common barriers to participation, including cost, transportation, and registration requirements, ensuring more children have the opportunity to be active and engaged throughout the summer months.
