Flag Like a Girl is committed to providing professional training and positive coaching to elevate the flag football experience for girls. Our club offers a variety of year round flag football leagues as well as developmental skill camps. F.L.A.G. is perfect for girls entering the world of flag football, those who are looking for an off season sport to maintain their athleticism, and girls who are ready to take their game to the more competitive club level. In 2023, we had the exciting opportunity to attend the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Play to Lead Summit where we were inspired to pursue our idea of creating an all female flag football club in Edmonton. Playing on mixed teams and seeing a lack of female representation in the sport motivated us to create the Flag Like a Girl community with the intention of providing opportunity for girls to not only learn and play flag football, but to grow as confident athletes and leaders. We began with the idea of hosting a females in flag development camp and with the support and encouragement of our sponsors and families, we went from an NFL Females in Flag development camp , to hosting a large developmental camp day at Foote Field, organizing and hosting a camp for Metro Athletics, planning and hosting a collaborative camp with the Seattle Seahawks and with the Arizona Cardinals, and ultimately creating and coaching our Flag Like a Girl league. In the fall of 2025, we had the privilege of attending the Calgary CT Jumpstart Play to Lead Summit, this time as presenters. We were thrilled to share our experience with developing our Flag Like a Girl league! Most recently, we were honored to be awarded Coach of the Year from the Edmonton Elks.
